~Baby, don’t cryyyyy toniiiiight~ THIS SONG IS EVERYTHING. I can’t believe it took SME a year to let EXO release it, because it’s so good. so heartbreaking. The harmonies! The rap! It’s perfection and pretty much everything that I want a pop ballad to be. The vocals are devastating enough to my well-being, but it turns out that the lyrics are based on the original version of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen and I. Am. Done. ACTUAL SOUNDS OF DISTRESS. I was already extra excited for the prep-school album concept and now there’s a possibility that all the songs on XOXO are inspired by folktales or childhood stories?! Someone loves me 8)
Clearly, I am really! enjoying! this album. It’s all I’ve been listening to since it leaked was released leaked. It’s got a lot of solid tracks on it and it’s a great way for EXO to come back from their year-long hiatus. Wolf is questionable, but if you can get past how ridiculous it is to listen to the rest of the album, it definitely won’t disappoint. I look forward to them promoting some of the other songs on XOXO, namely Don’t Go, Heart Attack and Baby. I love both versions of the album, but the Korean version is definitely getting more plays on my iPod. The vocals work a little better and Chanyeol singing is the most wonderful surprise I have ever been given?? Breakout star of the album ♡ AND OF MY HEART 두근두근 ♡. I’m really glad EXO finally gets to promote as 12 :’)
On a related note, MBLAQ’s new album sounds great! Didn’t expect less from the likes of Primary, Zion. T, and Simon D, but the new album’s got some seriously neat and unexpected JT vibes. Also BEAST COMEBACK IN LESS THAN A MONTH??? Countdown to the start of my emotional rollercoaster. WILL I SURVIVE THIS SUMMER? (spoiler alert: I DONT)

Their fandom is absolutely terrible sometimes, but their music is much better than a lot of the stuff that SM’s produced for SJ or SNSD in the last few years. If you liked this one, try What Is Love from their first mini, which also has that 90’s R&B feel and ugh is so good. 90’s R&B is the besssssssttttt. I wish there was a way for music to go back to it without sounding outdated :( Also throwing it in there – Angel/Into Your World is up there in my TOP KPOP OF ALL TIME with Reply and Untouchable’s Driving Me Crazy.

I HAVE I HAAAAAAVE. I love it so much. I’m so excited about news of another release?! I don’t know how to process all of these feelings.
